As Co-Founder & Advisor, Megan is dedicated to building financial systems that empower organizations with clarity and confidence. Known as a technical powerhouse with a warm, approachable spirit, she designs streamlined processes and reporting frameworks that help leaders make informed, strategic decisions.

With extensive experience working on complex financial systems for multinational organizations, Megan now applies that expertise to Canada’s social sector, partnering with Executive Directors and finance teams to define best practices and strengthen governance. Her focus is always on creating efficiency, transparency, and trust across financial operations.

Working side by side with her husband and co-founder, Gordon, Megan brings both vision and practicality to Humanity Financial. Her goal is simple but powerful: to design systems that provide peace of mind for organizations and their funders, enabling them to focus on the missions that matter most.

As Co-Founder & Advisor, Gordon brings decades of leadership and vision to Humanity Financial. He is a recognized leader in transforming financial management and governance for social purpose organizations and First Nations, championing systems that foster resilience, transparency, and long-term impact. His work exemplifies the firm’s bold vision of doing good while being good.

In 2020, Gordon led Humanity Financial to become the first accounting firm in Canada to qualify as a Certified B Corporation, and in 2022, he realized the firm’s goal of becoming a registered Benefit Corporation—the first of its kind in the country. His influence extends nationally, serving as Director and Treasurer of Community Foundations of Canada, a member of the Audit and Finance Committee for PayPal Giving Fund Canada, and a Board Director of the Aboriginal Finance Officers Association of BC (AFOABC).

Gordon’s mission is clear: to help clients break free from financial uncertainty. By building confidence in financial systems, governance frameworks, and strategic decision-making, he empowers organizations and communities to embrace self-determination and create lasting change.

Alicia brings more than a decade of international accounting experience, having worked in New Zealand, the Cayman Islands, and across Canada. Her career began in audit with Audit New Zealand, where she developed expertise in financial oversight, public sector accountability, and impact reporting. She later expanded her skill set with KPMG in the Cayman Islands, navigating the complexities of international asset management, business advisory, and insolvency.

After relocating to Vancouver, Alicia took on a Financial Controller role for a high-net-worth Canadian family, managing a large portfolio of entities including several Canadian charities. This role sharpened her ability to balance diverse financial needs, from regulatory compliance to nonprofit stewardship. Ultimately, her passion for purpose-driven work brought her to Humanity Financial, where she leads with both technical precision and a strong commitment to community impact.

Based in Victoria, B.C., Alicia is a lifelong learner and avid traveler. She has volunteered internationally, including teaching in Thailand, and is happiest when she’s near the water, whether swimming, paddling, or exploring new coastlines. Her dream role is to one day dedicate herself fully to philanthropy, advocating for education and working to break cycles of poverty.

Her balance of organizational skill and people-focused leadership makes her an integral part of the firm.

Ally grew up in North Vancouver, B.C., and takes pride in her Indigenous heritage. She spent much of her early childhood with her large extended family on the traditional, unceded land of the Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation. Today, she continues to draw inspiration from that heritage in both her professional life and personal commitments.

Raised in Chilliwack/Ts’elxwéyeqw, Arianna grew up surrounded by forests, lakes, and mountains that inspired her adventurous spirit. Her leadership experience includes executive roles with high-growth startups, where she secured government grants, managed financial dashboards, and helped build innovative projects such as a smart fertilizer plant in Saskatchewan.

After growing up in Red Deer and Victoria, Hannah spent six years in Australia before returning to B.C. to deepen her career in accounting. After earning her BBA from Simon Fraser University, Hany completed her CPA designation in 2021. Her commitment to community development is deeply rooted in her upbringing in Vietnam, where her mother worked as a tropical disease specialist and public health advocate. This early influence inspired Hany’s belief that strong financial practices can unlock resources and empower organizations to achieve their missions.

She launched her accounting career at KPMG Brazil before relocating to Vancouver, Canada, where she earned a diploma in Accounting and later joined Deloitte Vancouver.

 At Deloitte, Lissa served as a Senior Accountant, auditing a diverse portfolio of for-profit and non-profit organizations. During this time, she obtained her CPA designation and further developed her expertise in financial reporting and assurance.

A Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (Australia), she has worked across Canada, Australia, and the UK in senior leadership positions, with expertise in strategic financial management, capacity building, and aligning financial strategies with organizational goals.

Her career highlights include over 15 years as CFO for complex Indigenous organizations, where she developed a reputation for cross-cultural respect, collaboration, and effective change management. Pamela also served as Vice President of Client Services at Humanity Financial before stepping into the CEO role, deepening her commitment to supporting Indigenous governments, nonprofits, charities, and social purpose organizations.

Pamela’s leadership is defined by a belief that strong planning, clear strategy, and empowered teams create lasting impact. She is also active in nonprofit and charity governance, bringing strategic insights and innovative thinking to every boardroom. A graduate of the Norwegian School of Management with an MBA from the University of British Columbia, he specializes in bringing order and clarity to the complex accounting and bookkeeping challenges faced by many charities and nonprofits.

With deep knowledge of charitable receipting and CRA reporting, Roar helps clients strengthen governance and build trust in their financial reporting. He also has extensive nonprofit board experience, including more than a decade as Treasurer and as part of the founding teams of two charities. Before joining Humanity, Sheryl held senior roles at Vancity, one of Canada’s most successful and socially innovative credit unions. During her tenure, she directed its diversity, equity, and inclusion program, oversaw large-scale technological transformation, and coordinated its HR response to the COVID-19 pandemic. She also served as Chief Operating Officer at Reconciliation Canada, where she strengthened partnerships and supported the organization’s vital work toward healing and inclusivity.

After a short-term contract at Deloitte Australia and a role with a multinational P3 firm, Taryn joined Humanity Financial in 2021 to focus on purpose-driven organizations and meaningful impact.

Taryn understands that for many clients, accounting can feel like a foreign language. Her approach is to bridge that gap by fostering dialogue, building clarity, and creating solutions that deliver lasting value.
